Setting Up RocketDock
Steve on Jun 15th 2008
In the previous post and video, “New Solution For Desktop Clutter,” I introduced you to a program called RocketDock, and showed you how to get it for free.
In this video, part 2 of 3, I’ll show you how to adjust the settings to your tastes. In the process, I realized and pointed out how RocketDock could be of help to the many, many Internet users who are sight-impared. I have a vision impairment myself, and RocketDock has helped me quite a bit.
Anyway, please watch the video (I hope it’s of help to you), and let me know what you think.

New Solution For Desktop Clutter
Steve on Jun 14th 2008
I discovered a new solution for desktop clutter. Well, it’s new to me, though apparently thousands of people have known about it for a long time. It’s called RocketDock, and it’s actually based on the Apple/Mac dock, but designed for Windows.
It’s really a cool little program, and I’ve found it indispensible already. I’ve made three videos, the forst of which is below illustrating a little of what it it, and how to get it. It’s a free prgram, in case you were wondering.
I’ll post the two other videos shortly. The second video demonstrates how to get the settings to your liking, and the third shows how to add and delete items. I did it in three parts because doing it in one video ran just way too long.

Taskbar Tricks #1
Steve on May 26th 2008
Sometime back, I discovered what I can do with my Windows taskbar. I know, I’ve been using the PC for years, but sometimes you just don’t take the time to explore.
This little trick allows you to put your entire desktop into your taskbar, so that you don’t have to minimize windows you have open to get to, for example, your notepat to paste something you’ve copied from a page you’re on.
Watch the video and see what I mean:
I’ll be doing some others, so stay tuned.

Desktop-Clutter
Steve on May 6th 2008
My desktop gets cluttered easily. I have a tendency to download new products directly to my desktop, then install or unzip from there. It’s easier.
Then, I end up with .zip files, install files, folders and program shortcuts all over the place. I also tend to move things, like e-mails with important links to the desktop so they’ll be in front of me (so I don’t forget to check them out).
Over time (a few days, sometimes), I get a messy desktop. I usually clean it up, and the video below shows you how I do it. It’s not for everyone. You have your ways, I’m sure. But I just did it tonight, and thought you might like to watch me fumble through it.
Hey, it’s not always about selling stuff!
