I just renewed my maintenance license on DK Pro for just $16.95, which I think is pretty reasonable, myself. But, the above free programs DO work very well for those who might not be ready, or in a position, to make an investment. It seems odd, though, that some will spend hundreds on a computer, but don't think it important to spend $30 - $60 to help prolong its life and keep its performance optimized. I agree completely! What took ages with the Windows tool is a breeze for DK. The background defrag also works perfectly even with other resource intensive programs. I would definitely recommend it over other freeware.
