OK, you know me by now. I don’t get excited about a lot. What’s good is good, and I show it to you. But this one has me jumping up and down.
Here’s my over-the-shoulder demo, in my usual inimitable style
Why do you need this software?
- You’re a professional photographer and need to resize images for display in various media
- You are in advertising and need to resize images for printing in diferent media
- You are a musician and need to create posters, album art, etc. from photos
- You’re a Real Estate agent and need both printed and online sales photos
- You’re a webmaster and need properly resized images for photo galleries
- You are in internet marketing and need to resize your advertising and page graphics
- You just want to resize your photos to send to your friends or family
Reshade offers:
- Texture – sharpen or soften edges to achieve ideal realism in your photos (Edge Control)
- Denoise – Remove visible noise from your photos
- Reduce Artifacts – Soften or eliminate random pixels that distort images
- Enable Crop – Select a portion of your image, crop it and enlarge it to your heart’s content
- Accuracy – Determine the degree of accuracy at which your photos will be reproduced
- Determine the degree of compression (.jpg), or
- Convert and save in other popular formats such as .bmp, tiff and others
- Set the overall Fidelity of the resized image from the original
- Smooth gradients so overall colors and edges blend or contrast to your specs
- Achieve the exact results you need for your project
I speak as the owner of Photoshop CS4 and PaintShop Pro Photo. These are excellent programs, to be sure. But they were designed to do everything. Sometimes you need a dedicated program that will do just one thing, and do it well.
Reshade was programmed to do just one thing: Resize digital photo’s. Complexity is out the window (literally). Its simple, intuitive interface was designed to let even a novice achieve excellent results the first time. The default settings work like a charm on most images. But the slider devices let you tweak to your heart’s content, letting you get results that often exceed your expectations.
Does it have problems?
Probably, but I haven’t found any that I can’t live with. So far it hasn’t crashed (or crashed my computer). The only thing that’s a bit disconcerting is that the “Save” dialog doesn’t always display the “progress bar.” But it processes and saves just the same.
Note: When you click the link above to download your free trial, you will be IMMEDIATELY downloading. You’ll get a pop up dialog box asking you to SAVE the file to your computer. The file is an .exe file, and is certified malware and spyware free. No harm will come to your computer by downloading and installing the file!
I hope you’ll forgive my excited presentation of this little gem, but for me, it is the answer to a long-time need. I really like it!
PS: You are entitled to FREE UPGRADES for the term of your license. You should also know that the license covers all current versions of Reshade that may be available.

If you’re advertising and/or marketing online, you need a fast, easy and inexpensive way to create banners for websites.
I’ve been an affiliate marketer online for almost 10 years. I work with some of the best affiliate networks out there. Most vendors provide their own advertising materials, including banner ads. They’re very well done, and proven to convert.
But sometimes, perhaps often, you need to brand yourself along with the product branding. You want people to know they’re not necessarily just being “transported” to some manufacturer’s landing page, but that YOU support that manufacturer and the product you’re recommending.
You need a personal touch. You need your own advertisement!
Watch this video. Click to play it:
I’ve been using
this program since it was V5, back in 2005 or so. It’s come a long way, and I’m still using it. The features not covered in the video are phenomenal. You can animate your graphics in 3 different ways. Add images from your own collection. Create virtually any size graphic you need. You have to see it to believe it. You have to try it to know it.
This link will give you a 25% discount over the usual retail price. It’s not as expensive as you think!

In the world of software, things are always changing. Usually it’s for the better. I’d like to tell you abut just such a case.
A few months ago, I came across a new software that tunes and tweaks your computer and the Windows OS (primarily XP and Vista). I made a video about it, which you can watch here.
Now this might not seem like a big deal. There have been software products on the market for years that perform these tasks. I’ve recommended some of them (and still do), such as SpeedUpMyPC and RegistryBooster, for example.
But this program seems to do it all, and so far I haven’t had a single problem with it. You might think that a software that performs so many different functions would present some difficulties, but it installs quickly, works silently, is fast and surprisingly easy. It’s so user friendly that I honestly believe anyone can master it the first time out.
It actually explains what it’s about to do, in plain English, to help prevent any mistakes. It’s also available in multilingual versions.
And now, it’s being made available for up to three PCs on a single license! If you haven’t seen it yet, or if you have and have been putting off trying it, now is the time to act.
Go now to TuneUp Utilities 2009 and download your copy.
